Universal Music, the global record company, organises a yearly concert for staff members in a London venue. In 2024, the chosen venue is The Roundhouse. The event aims to surprise the guests by promising a magical and music-filled evening where the musicians are not disclosed beforehand.
In order to create my solution, I researched the history of the building, learning that initially it was built for trains to turn around. It was later used as a distillery warehouse and in the 80s became one of the most important places for the punk music scene, hosting one of the first concerts featuring a very young Pink Floyd.
These, alongside the clean and timeless Bauhaus design style, are the main inspirations for the creation of all the solutions, among which we can find: a poster announcing the concert, a digital invitation formatted for both phones and PC displays, a physical ticket that could be printed at the venue, and a personalised option where guests can print their own photographs taken during the event to keep as a memory. Finally, in order to deliver a unique experience, some songs played during the concert would be live recorded and delivered to the guests in the form of a vinyl record.
